Based on the existing safety concerns, rules for luggage continue to change for both domestic and international flights. The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is a division of the Department of Homeland Security and presides over the safety of transport systems across America. All luggages’ are subject to the regulations of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Carry-On Luggage:
Domestic flights rarely have a weight limit and sometimes they are allowed to take up 7kg of carry-on baggage on board approximately. However this may differ from airline to airline. The hand baggage must not surpass 45 linear inches for its width, height and length combined.
Checked Baggage:
As far as the checked baggage is concerned commuters are permitted to take one bag of checked luggage weighing no more than 50 pounds. In case if the baggage exceeds the limit an add-on will be incurred. Based on its length, width and height the baggage must be no more than 62 linear inches.
Extra Items:
Additional things such as coats, umbrellas and children strollers are permitted and will not incur a charge. On the other items like sports equipment, martial arts gear and weapons of any kind must be declared and then it should be carried.
